There are several projects this year that the girls will take home with them – a serving tray with tile, a smart phone mobile speaker and a step stool. Other modules are electrical wiring and drywall patching. Each camper will receive a personal tool and safety kit. Returning campers will receive more advanced tools to enhance their kits from the previous year’s camp.
This is the ninth year NAWIC has presented the camp. Past projects have included a tiny house for a transitional living community in Ventura, a large greenhouse for the agricultural department at the Career Education Center, heavy equipment operation, plumbing and sheet metal working.
